PEPSI & TARUMBA The Tappoo Group bottles Pepsi and Pepsi products for the local market at its factory in Lautoka. Tappoo also has a number of other carbonated drinks in its distribution line-up.
The line-up for Pepsi: PepsiCola, Pespi Twist, Mountain Dew, 7UP, and the various flavours of Mirinda, are manufactured at Tappoo subsidiary, Eddie Hin Beverages Ltd in Lautoka, Fiji's second largest city.
The take-over of Eddie Hin brought the value-market carbonated drinks, RC Cola and Fiz, into the Tappoo beverages fold.
Tappoo also took over the Tarumba franchise from Rewa Dairy in 2005. Tarumba, from the US-based Marbo corporation, is a very popular fruit juice drink. Under a contract, Rewa Dairy Cooperative Ltd continues to produce Tarumba for Tappoo while we are extensively involved in marketing and distributing it.
Pepsi is heavily marketed thought advertising and sponsorship and is currently the sponsor of Fiji Rugby Union. Pepsi was also involved in sponsoring National Football League in 2005 and 2006. Pepsi marketing is also involved in entertainment and Pepsi is a supporter of many activities of social conscience. |
